The PERFECT Presidential Candidate

September 6th, 2008

This person who is not running for office would be the perfect pick.

He (which immediately disqualifies him for some, but nevertheless)…. He doesn’t drink, smoke, do drugs or tell lies. He doesn’t own ANY houses, in fact he’s not materialistic at all. He’s never committed adultery. He loves both the elderly and children. He loves everyone. He’s seen much evil the world over and has visited people with compassion. He can advise the nation as to its finances, military defenses, domestic and foreign issues, natural disasters and issues facing families. He can tell us what NOT to worry about, and where to concentrate our efforts. He would see us through to world peace.
Of course, many would still reject him. He’s not good enough because…

He doesn’t only talk “peace, love and joy” - contrary to some reports. He speaks out about peoples’ follies and even tells some people they’re wrong. He hangs out with “sinners” and dirty people…places you just don’t go if you’re dignified. He doesn’t fit the conventional mold, as much as people say they want “change”. He’s too much of an upstart. He prays in public too much. His hair is too long, his feet dirty and he often sleeps outside.

The media would just make a mess of things for him:

They would twist his words until barely recognizable. They might accuse him of starting a new “religion” instead of just trying to improve the old one; either way, he’s politically incorrect. They would ridicule his lifestyle. They would ridicule and punish his associates for every wrong word, deed or past mistake. Some people might even see to it that he is killed.
Want Perfection? GET JESUS.

The Real Story Behind Bran Muffins

September 6th, 2008

The couple were 85 years old, and had been married for sixty years. Though they were far from rich, they managed to get by because they watched their pennies.

Though not young, they were both in very good health, largely due to the wife’s insistence on healthy food and exercise for the last decade.

One day, their good health didn’t help when they went on a rare vacation and their plane crashed, sending them off to Heaven.

They reached the pearly gates, and St. Peter escorted them inside. He took them to a beautiful mansion, furnished in gold and fine silks, with a fully stocked kitchen and a waterfall in the master bath. A maid could be seen hanging their favorite clothes in the closet.

They gasped in astonishment when he said, “Welcome to Heaven. This will be your home now.”

The old man asked Peter how much all this was going to cost. “Why, nothing,” Peter replied, “remember, this is your reward in Heaven.”

The old man looked out the window and right there he saw a championship golf course, finer and more beautiful than any ever built on Earth. “What are the greens fees?,” grumbled the old man. “This is heaven, St. Peter replied. “You can play for free, every day.”

Next they went to the clubhouse and saw the lavish buffet lunch, with every imaginable cuisine laid out before them, from seafood to steaks to exotic deserts, free flowing beverages. “Don’t even ask,” said St. Peter to the man. “This is Heaven, it is all free for you to enjoy.”

The old man looked around and glanced nervously at his wife. “Well, where are the low fat and low cholesterol foods, and the decaffeinated tea?,” he asked. “That’s the best part,” St. Peter replied. “You can eat and drink as much as you like of whatever you like, and you will never get fat or sick. This is Heaven!”

The old man pushed, “No gym to work out at?”

“Not unless you want to,” was the answer.

“No testing my sugar or blood pressure or…”

“Never again. All you do here is enjoy yourself.”

The old man glared at his wife and said, “You and your bran muffins. We could have been here ten years ago!”

RNC Releases Video Bio of Sarah Palin

September 4th, 2008

Just in case you’ve been hiding in a box and don’t know anything about Sarah Palin, here’s your chance to get a glimpse of her. This video was supposed to be played before Sarah spoke at the RNC on Wednesday night, but because time ran out, it was not played. So now you get to see it!

I hope you enjoyed your introduction to the next Vice-President of our country! I am so looking forward to voting this year.
